Much to Tiffanie's dismay (icing her ankle), Colin and Brooks decided to take a run on Saturday... To the top of Bear Peak @ 8461'! As usual, we started from the house, ran up Bear Canyon, and then up the Bear Peak West Ridge Trail to the summit. 5 miles and 3000 vertical feet later, we were finally there. By the way, the last 1/4 mile is really steep! A quick descent down the very steep Fern canyon got us back home in around 2h:30minutes. It was a great run, we definitely took some time to enjoy looking at the new snow up in the Indian Peaks, and chat with other people on the trail. I wouldn't say it was leisurely though, Colin runs uphill like a gazelle!
Hope everyone had a good weekend! Sorry no pictures, but neither of us felt like carrying a camera up the mountain!
