While Tiffanie is making great strides with her injured ankle (she made it out on a road ride on Sunday...no one hammers like Tiff Beal) Brooks and Colin continued some more off season training and fun. Last Wednesday, they went for a run with elite ultra-runner and fellow GoLite athlete Dave Mackey up Flagstaff Mountain. The three of them bagged the summit and made it back to the trailhead at Chatauqua in just under an hour.
On Saturday, Brooks ran an orienteering course near Nederland to continue to hone his already sharp navigating skills and Sunday was Tiff's aforementioned day back in the saddle.
Colin also went out on a road ride on Sunday before leaving for a business trip in Washington DC. After the mountainous terrain of the greater Boulder area, Colin was expecting some nice easy terrain and thick, oxygen enriched sea level air. Since his group was staying in downtown DC, a road run was in order Monday afternoon. Call it a lack of road running lately, but Colin's legs are on the sore side today after only a 50 minute run! Needless to say he's looking forward to getting back on the trails in Boulder!
We're going to make more of an effort to carry a camera with us and add more pics to this site, but in the meantime, check out this link to the video from the Adventure Xstream Vail race. Brooks and Tiff get a great close up during the rogaine section!
